What the trek is like
This one-day route is good if you want a full Sa Pa walking experience without sleeping away from town. The walk starts with views near Dragon Mountain, then moves toward village paths, small tracks, and rice field edges. Lunch is taken along the route, and the afternoon can be adjusted depending on the weather, your energy, and how much time you want for photos. It's a simple choice for first-time visitors.

Itinerary
- ~9:00 Depart from Sa Pa
- Climb Dragon Mountain (about 2 km from Sa Pa Church) for wide panoramic views over the valley
- Walk down toward Hang Da village for lunch around midday
- Afternoon walk through Hau Chu Ngai village, then on to Hau Thao village
- ~15:00 A car picks you up in Hau Thao to return to Sa Pa
